I have been married to Adam Trimble for 32 years, and we have two children, Mark and Katie who are both graduates of TJCA. My first degree is in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I have worked for publications in Illinois, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. I became a nontraditional education student at Belmont Abbey College where I graduated summa cum laude in 2009 and received the school's outstanding education student award.
I have been involved with 'TJCA since 2004 as a parent, Forum member and officer, team mom, teacher and board member. Time with the school began in 2004 when my son Mark started as a seventh-grade student. Wanting to be involved, I joined the newly formed TJ Forum in which I soon served as secretary for two years. In 2005 when TJ formed its first football team, Coach Tony Helton named me as Team Mom to organize snacks and meals for the players who would never see a home game that initial season. I joined TJ's grammar school staff in August 2010 as a sixth grade history and geography teacher and then transferred to third grade in which I currently teach in August 2013.
I was selected as the grammar school teacher representative to the board for the first time for the 2014-15 school year and have been asked to serve since then. My time with the board will end in June 2021.
