Biography
Dr. Melissa McNeilly joined the TJCA board in August of 2026. She currently serves on the board’s finance, facilities, academic/curriculum, and legal affairs committees.
Dr. McNeilly is an Associate Professor in the Hunt School of Nursing at Gardner-Webb University and serves as the Associate Director of Nursing. She earned a B.S.N. in nursing in 2009 and then an M.S.N. in 2012 from Gardner-Webb University. In 2020, she earned her Doctor of Education with a Specialty in Online Teaching and Learning from the University of Saint Augustine. Dr. McNeilly is also an experienced Quality Matters Master Reviewer for online higher educational programs. She currently teaches graduate level nursing students for Gardner-Webb’s Hunt School of Nursing and serves as a Project Chair for Doctoral Nursing students. In addition, she serves as a peer evaluator and site visitor for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Dr. McNeilly resides in Cleveland County with her husband, Nathan, and their two children. Both of Dr. McNeilly’s children attend TJCA.
