TJCA set to host Division I Skills Training

 

AVONDALE —- Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) is proud to announce that the school will be hosting a Division I Skills Training with several dates available. 

Basketball players from Gardner-Webb University will be on campus providing instruction for players of all ages. The first two dates for the training will be Aug. 16 and Aug. 18. Both trainings will be held from 7-8 p.m. and will cost $20 for each camp.

Campers will have an opportunity to compete in skill workouts and receive hands-on instruction from Gardner-Webb players. 

Dates for ensuing camps will be announced at a later date.

K-12 students from the community are invited to attend.

“This is an incredible opportunity for the youth in our community,” said TJCA Athletic Director and Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach Steven Jones. “The opportunity to not only meet Division I players but also to learn from them is a unique experience. We are thankful to partner with Gardner-Webb University and not only provide kids in our community with skill development but also a lasting memory”
