MS girls soccer remains unbeaten

SHELBY — The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) Middle School girls soccer team remained unbeaten on Monday afternoon with a 4-0 win over Crest Middle School. 

Sophia Bell led the Lady Gryphons with two goals, while Ella Duncan and Emerson Taylor accounted for the other two goals.

TJCA faces a quick turnaround as the Lady Gryphons play host to R-S Middle School to face the Lady Knights today. The match will begin at 4:15 p.m.

MS Baseball suffers defeat

SHELBY — The TJCA Middle School baseball team fell to Crest Middle School on Monday afternoon, but had multiple players perform well. Landry Ohmstead and Alton Freeman both had base hits, while Jase Warner, Austin Walker and Lincoln Christman delivered strong pitching performances. 

The Gryphons will also travel to R-S Middle School today for their next game. The game will begin at 4:15 p.m.
