Name: Nick Turner
Nick Turner serves as Head MS Cross Country Coach and World History teacher at Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy and has been with the school for five years now. He grew up in small-town Texas, got his BA from Wheaton College in Illinois, and an MA from Rutgers University-Newark, in New Jersey. Coach Turner's wife is from Massachusetts, and they both lived in Rhode Island for two years before moving down to North Carolina, where they currently live in Forest City with their dog Zuri.

We are trying to teach kids the skills, discipline, and habits that create successful lifelong athletes by introducing them to the world of cross country running. We accept students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades to practice and compete in meets. We are a young program but had considerable success last year and hope to continue building on this success.
