Lisa Stepp » Biography


Lisa graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington. Lisa’s love and appreciation for Thomas Jefferson began in 2005 when her oldest daughter started her Thomas Jefferson experience as a 6th grader. A few years later, her youngest daughter was part of the inaugural year of the grammar school as a 5th grader. Lisa quickly joined the TJ family as a 5th-grade math teacher in January of 2008. She then transitioned to the Exceptional Children’s department as an EC teacher and worked primarily with math students for the next several years. In the summer of 2020, Lisa began a new adventure as assistant principal at the grammar school and is excited to continue her journey with Thomas Jefferson in this new capacity. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and cuddling with her furbaby, Cooper.
