Amanda Jones » Biography

Biography

 
Part of the TJCA community since 2015, Amanda currently serves as the Food Service Director. 
 
Her accomplishments include: 
 
  • Worked as a private chef for a prominent family in Florida where she cooked for many business and political leaders including Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump. 
  • Operating a catering business, serving clients such as famous sculptor Will Behrends, and Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato.
  • Serving as a Culinary Instructor at Isothermal Community College.
 
She earned an: 
  • Associates Degree in Culinary and Pastry Arts from Florida Culinary Institute. 
 
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She lives on a 60-acre farm where her family has horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. Amanda and her daughter compete in hunter paces with their horses and spend many hours training for these events. Amanda and her family grow various fruits and vegetables which she shares with family and friends. Amanda also uses fresh produce to create special meals for her catering business. Once the growing season ends, Amanda preserves by freezing, pickling, and making jellies and preserves.
